Alan Rickman making tea in slow motion to music from Inception
QUITE LITERALLY THE BEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN
Makin’ cookies, bitch!
Specifically, oatmeal cookies. I make. The best. Fucking. Oatmeal cookies.
Ever.
But this time I decided to tweak it a bit, because I’m deciding this is a theme thing. A theme theme, if you will. I won’t.
Anyway. I’m making them with tea, is what I’m saying. Because cooking with tea is just fucking tops. Fr rlz.
Specifically, we’re using Cara McGee’s Peeta tea, because it purports to taste like oatmeal cookies. Oh, oh hey, I see what I did there.
PEETA FUCKING MELLARK’S OATMEAL COOKIES OH YES.

(Thanks, m-rated!)
2648. Black Oolong Tea Macaron. The smoky black oolong adds unique finish to this dark chocolate ganache filled macaron. Who wants one?
Based on the popularity of Molly Weasley’s banana muffins (TWO. WHOLE. NOTES. OH YEAH), I decided to make brownies.
Actually, the two are entirely unrelated. I like brownies no matter how many muffins I’ve eaten, and I was going to make these anyway, because the creator of the tea I’m using mentioned brownies in her review, and I’m easily susceptible to that kind of subliminal messaging.
SO, given that she and I are being tradey with our tea collections, she kindly submitted some to the cause. HOLLA’.
And now I present, Pele Cake Brownies.

SEND ME ONE WITH THE TEA DERP. I’ve been really wanting to make things with tea but i’m just a SUPER LAZY BUTT.
Sure!
Oh man, baking with tea is just tops. I made oatmeal cookies with Cara’s MoraMori once, and omg, two dozen palm-sized lasted about an hour. A good chai can end up better than individual spices.
I have plans for Peeta oatmeal cookies, too, and as soon as I get some of your Pele, I’m totes making brownies.
So.
I cook.
A lot.
And the thing is.
I’m really good at it.
But like.
Ain’t no one got time to keep a cooking blog.
Excepting for every single on of us amirite?
Anyway.
Here, have some of Molly Weasley’s Banana Muffins.
So I really miss this nerd bar in Washington, not least because the food and drinks and atmosphere were excellent, but because they had these awesome Hogwarts House shots, and quite by chance the only three people I ever went with fit neatly into the houses that were not Ravenclaw.
Now I’m gone, and I guess I couldgo out and get the separate liquors to make them myself, but, really, who drinks shots by themself? Shhhhh…
So! I went for the most immediate option available to me: Adagio! Because anyone can drink a cuppa alone without anyone looking at them sidelong.
Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart. (masala chai and gingerbread)
Hufflepuff, unafraid of toil. (white pear, green rooibos key west, spiced mate)
Ravenclaw, if you’ve a ready mind. (white blueberry and honeybush hazelnut)
Slytherin, where you’ll meet your true friends. (peppermint and candy cane)
Tea Biscuits
That. I might do Firefly inspired teas.
Because why not?
All righty.
Smaug tea is a thing now.
So is Beorn tea.
Also available are Bilbo, Smeagol, and Gandalf the Grey, but these aren’t half as pretty without art. I’m working on it.HOW DO I ART PEOPLE FACES? D:
